This whole article and the only thing I took away was an idea for an extremely white movie, but bear with me!

“Daniels of all people”

183 and North Lamar (at the North Lamar Transit Center), with Juniper (what they call Cedar here). You’ll be subdued with allergies and then suffer the humiliation of having to take Cap Metro home!

Everyone needs to stop telling Whit Stillman it’s fine for him to be a champion of wasps via-filmmaking.

Didn’t she call 50 Cent a monkey? Yeah, I’m real curious what she claims to have learned from the racism episode...

Pretty sure that was a veiled shot at Oregonians.

Shocking how true this always is. This goes for more than just writing, also. Pretty much any form of creation.

The assumptions required to take the position you have, without having seen the film to understand the context of this film, are astounding.

Goop stooping to the travel accommodations of the riff raff?! Oh she’s got the SUV and driver on deck.

First off, my apologies. I totally was ranting Grandpa Simpson-style and did not intend this to you, personally. I should have just made my initial post its own thread.

You are not good at assuming things, at all...

“They would expect”...what an asshole

Actually, to clarify, she called that writer an idiot based on where they went to school (and not going to the school that Anna Merlan went). The writer’s doubts of the UVA story’s veracity is just a point of convenience for Anna Merlan, but not the truth.

This is the same writer who bet the house on the UVA story because of where the Rolling Stone writer went to school.

John Krasinski is about the safest and most shallow combo of image and “safe” for a majority of the commentariat around here. A lot of the response and defense of this guy in these comments is humorously predictable...

Write a book on your hilarious and cute ideas of wanting to separate the United States!!! I’m sure everyone’s going to see how enlightened you are with that one!

To assume a specific scenario such as George Washington being the master, and the family structure that this book does, and then assume those slaves would be happy, is just as much denying a “basic part of their humanity.”

*slow clap*

For the record, she now goes by ANOHNI (only seen it spelled in all caps).
