Pimp C’s verse on Big Pimpin’, all 8 bars of it, is also better. Seeing as it’s one of the most iconic verses ever.

Any implication, in jest or otherwise, which implies the infallibility of an organizer/leader/member/movement/anything/etc, in my opinion, is very ignorant. Haven’t changed a bit on that and my responses don’t imply otherwise.
How am I backpedaling? I have changed my opinion on exactly nothing I’ve stated in this thread.
Nah I won’t GTFO, thanks.
Such as editing to include an addendum after the fact?
That’s a comparison which doesn’t show that the statement itself comes from Mary Poppins. I haven’t watched Mary Poppins in at least 25 years (too much Pasolini to watch, sue me). I just saw it as a comparison, not a reference.
Fair enough, I’ll admit the reference was missed.
I do usually take things in a literal context. It can blow up in my face (such as this thread as I didn’t know that the author was referencing Mary Poppins), but I find it the safest operational mode.
I don’t have a sense of humor because I think it was a dumb thing to say and an esp. dumb place to say it? I did say “it’s not funny or clever” in my initial post, you’re wrong that I thought she was being literal.
Objective terms such as “perfect in every way” show nothing but ignorance. It’s not funny or clever, just ignorant.
Fuck Kickstarter and all similar programs. Trickle-down charity is just as stupid as trickle-down economics.
This is only true if you’re shallow.
Did it feel good? I guess it might have if you’re a sycophantic cheerleader.
Habitual “reply all”-ers are the worst...
I appreciate this post, it’s given me a lot to think about!
Fair enough, I’m surprised more people didn’t ask me to elaborate!
I guess I was subconsciously thinking the latter example you noted, but the former may be possible as well.
Those pre-existing opinions are precisely the reason a podcast like Serial is worthwhile. There could be potential for pre-conceived notions to be shown as wrong (or not, which could also be enlightening).
John Waters would best this in every conceivable way, including the stupid humor department. You can never, ever go wrong watching Serial Mom.
You don’t think there is a very large trove of information which isn’t widely disseminated in the Bergdahl case?
