Can't delete a mispost, dammit!
Yes, that's the one. Thank you!
I remember a while ago on rpg.net there was a thread about a series of World of Darkness ripoff games that touted in badly written prose how different they were from the World of Darkness. Wish I could remember what those were called.
Actually, as I understand it the definition was created to exclude Pluto. There wasn't an accepted definition of planet other than "one of those things we call a planet." And if a definition were created that included Pluto, it would have to include numerous other objects in the asteroid belt and the Kuiper belt that…
Unfortunately the rights to Namor are still with Universal. I could see them working in Atlantis minus the Sub-Mariner in the hope that Disney will be able to buy the rights back before they need him.
Sadly, the Space Dandy theme is not a Yoko Kanno piece.
For all the (arguably justifiable) hate for Sword of Shannara being a retread of Lord of the Rings, I think the book is essentially a huge "this is how I think it should have gone."
Are "you guys at IO9" really presenting a unified view? They seem to have varied opinions on a lot of things. Heck, some of them don't even like Doctor Who!
I'm trying to think of a better role on Arrow for McGann than as Ra's al Ghul.
The problem with the Pound-O-Dice is that they're mostly factory errors and test runs. If all you care about is whether or not they roll true, you're golden, but if you care about the aesthetics of the dice be prepared to deal with lots of weird, poorly-blended colors.
Personally I'm waiting for "Doctor of the Day."
I would be a bit surprised if #4 was unintentional. Yes, it was early in Trek history, but the show was built on a long tradition of somewhat pretentious science fiction. A little self-deprecating humor makes sense.
Mah, mah, mah - MY GOD!
My dream lineup would probably be Fugitive Alien, Manos, Outlaw, Santa Claus Conquers the Martians, Gamera, and Soul Taker, with Part 1 of Hired!, Circus on Ice, Mr. B. Natural, Junior Rodeo Daredevils, and Are You Ready for Marriage? in between.
Oo! That would be fun!
Also known as "wainscot fantasy."
The Legion of Super-Heroes has "sprock" for "fuck," which is kind of "meh" for me, and "nass" for "shit," which I love.
"The word 'fuck' was written in a cipher, with each letter replaced by the following letter of the alphabet, suggesting that, even then, the word was offensive."
Can't delete, so I'm editing this post to say nothing instead.
