I can't emphasize enough how terrible of an idea it is to drive in NYC. The subway is incredibly fast, especially for long-distance travel. Maybe you could take a cab if the distance is short, traffic is light, and you're drunk or something. But for everything else? Buy a week pass for the subway or something and just

Dont be afraid of spending money to save time. Have to wait 6 hours for the next ferry to the island? Bah. There are always charter boats that will take your family across for a fee. It will be more expensive than the ferry, but it will get you there now and not 6 hours later.

I don't know what you're talking about. ;)

I have an easier system to handle the backlog when I go on vacation:

They should do something like this to keep track of books in the library, there's so many of them, how do they ever know where they are? Sort them out using decimal numbers on index cards in drawers or something...

I'm in love with my high end headphones (AKG Q701), and I absolutely cannot go back to the cheaper ones—even though there are some great ones out there. (And cheap ones work great for travel).

While multiple returns as a standing policy may not be the best idea, I'm surprised that most if not all of the negative feedback is directed towards the author. When you don't live in a big city and your local stores don't provide any ways to inspect before purchase, what is a buyer's safe recourse? Pick as best as

@Jay Hankins: Yeah, unfortunately, this is an idiom. "could care less" is the actual phrase, it's just not the one that makes sense.

@akarpens: "I could care less" is sarcastic slang, it is not meant to be proper. The fact that it upsets people like you is the main reason I say it that way.

@Jay Hankins: No, it's idiomatic, just like "I have squat" and "I don't have squat" mean the same thing. But go ahead and keep thinking you're correcting people.
