I’ve never driven a semi-truck, but don’t those transmissions typically have ten or more gears? The H-pattern, if I’m understanding it right, is only half as wide as you’d think, with a switch on the shifter knob to change from high to low range. So it’s actually not as crazy an idea as you think.

As a driver, I’m not immediately sold.

Honestly, newark also isn’t what it used to be. Large portions of it are actually unaffordably nice now. The Ironbound - forget about it. And yeah the area by the pru is pretty decent and is generally heavily policed.

I have a 4x4. There have been hundreds of times that I’ve seen an obstacle that I would love to tackle but never do because I realize that particular piece of property IS NOT MINE to damage.

If this was an 86, where they only made 200 of the Aerocoupes for NASCAR, it would be worth that. But from the factory the only thing good about this car was its looks. A clean factory SS is in the 6-9K range these days. I’d say this Aerocoupe worth 12K on a good day, while drunk after watching Days of Thunder.

your CL post missed two VITAL components:

Would hang it from the mirror.

Next time, try wrapping the duct tape backwards all around it so it sticks to itself only, then wrap the whole thing like your normally would with extra tape on either side of the duct tape repair.

and this too:

I keep a squeegee next to the driver’s seat because I get rained on so often topless. Works pretty well, although I keep contemplating putting manual wipers on the inside, much like the earliest MBs had manual wipers on the outside.

Missing Tracy’s obligatory “get a Jeep” advice.

Tomorrow on NPoCP......

I really wanted to make a Blues Brothers reference in this post, but it was early and I didn’t have enough coffee to really flesh it out. I figured someone in the comments would do it justice.

Wild guess his neighbors are spraying pesticides that run off into the groundwater.

Now playing

But, David, what you really want is the guarantee on the box, comforting you, saying, “I’ll never let you down!”

That’s why I keep a squeegee in my Wrangler, although I keep toying with the idea of taking an ancient MB wiper setup and putting them on the inside.

CJ then.

I was always jealous of Lake Speed’s name.
