Hey all, I made it back!

When my folks were young they were frugal about cars; always buying used, keeping them far beyond the point of diminishing returns. They always complained when the price of average new cars rose to the mid teens. "We can barely afford our mortgage, how could anyone buy a car for that kind of money" they would reason.
