Fritz, face in palm, "Bob! I thought I told you to sit down and stop running your mouth!"
First spider horse, now this... Ford's got the good drugs.
I'm not a fan of concept cars becoming production models. It dilutes the purpose behind creating concept cars. A concept should be forward thinking, revolutionary, and more than a little insane. A concept should not be a cobbled together, stretched and chopped version of what's coming up in two more years.
You've got to hand it to Lexus on this one. With next to no development costs they've integrated a complete multimedia center in both headrests. Ingenious feature for their concept car and great cost saving strategy amidst the carpocalypse.
McLaren won't be getting my business either, but somehow I don't think they'll notice we're boycotting them.
@Adam: Oh, right. There's always the article, I could try reading that.
The last report on this [jalopnik.com] stated that it wouldn't be competing because the chocolate based fuel was not F3 approved. Any word on what changed since then?
@FP: Your Volvo is awesome! Anyway:
They've got time to put this guy under police surveillance, but not time to put police surveillance at the locations of the cameras? Why not just figure out where he goes, post an unmarked car and pull him over?
Sapphire Energy seems like they've really got something there. Not specifically this worked over Prius, it is nice but it's mostly a promotion to focus on their product: algae biofuel. They have a website full of hype, but it doesn't seem to list any sort of production capacity. Never the less, this is a promising…
I viewed this like I view Social Security (and pretty much every other tax funded program): I know it's going to cost me and I don't expect anything in return, ever.
That's been nagging at me all day, what's its HP/CO2 ratio... I often wonder about that when considering my 2-seat supercar options.
"...use of the tools that Ford Motor Company made available..."
@Z71: Ok, bad soccer analogy. I too hope F1 or something similar catches on here. But that Indy GP tire debacle didn't do them any favors. It's going to be hard to compete with 36 races a year and 75 million fans.
@Goingincirclez: It's not any groundbreaking first that will bring the media and sponsorship buzz, it's just Danica. She's the Anna Kournikova of automobile racing... No matter what she does she'll get attention.
After a brief wikipedia search to figure out the reason for all the hype: Congrats on COTD Dr. Danger, well played.
@Z71: Danica and NASCAR both get plenty of publicity already. This will create a sponsorship whirlwind though, as Ben mentioned, and that's where the big profits will be had.
