How many people do this same thing?? Whenever I make my character's name, it's always in all CAPS.

So, a few days ago, I downloaded Final Fantasy IX for the PS3. I've been playing it for a while now, and it's so...... (as I expected it to be)...... "linear". So far I've had no control over which town or which dungeon I go into next.

@Aqualogy: I definitely understand what you mean. I have found that as I get older, I have less time to play video games (this topic/statement has been made over and over by people it seems).

I completed both VII and XIII and I also thought XIII was great.... story-wise. However, there was something missing.. Characters that I connected with.

@resonance462: i never noticed a true "grind" in the game... at least not to the point of where it got tedious. there are a few great places to grab a few levels very quickly (depending on your level i suppose). Have you tried entering the flying manta ray boss' stone? If you kill those dudes with full black

I'm not playing FFXIV, but for it's sake, I hope it doesn't turn into another episode of the Vanguard syndrome, and fail because of a glitchy launch, despite a great game.

@Maritan: holy!! i thought they were too until i read this comment and looked back at the pic! XD

don't get me wrong.... I can play flower for a while... but watching flower..... or watching a recreation of flower, I got bored in 8 seconds.

@Fernando Jorge: That would be Shogum (Grotto Boss) in DQ IX, and killed him with a friend playing multiplayer :) endless fun that DQIX is.

Oh Minecraft! Just starting to establish myself in the game. So now it's getting fun, instead of me losing everything all the time when I die.... which is still fun in a strange way. There is so much potential for this game. I hope it expands more and more. Multiplayer posibilites are amazing.

?

@Adhominem: that was amazing!! "...oh crap.." haha

@fuchikoma: you forgot a major item there: strange guys with pink touques, glasses AND leather pants. Leather pants are always strange.

@mikenjello: this one made me lol for reals. thank you mikenjello

It's better than the companies that hold back on the original game just to release "extra" content later for more money.

Unfortunately this is why the "always connected" format of today's consoles will kill this. If you want to play any game online, or connect your PS3 to the PSN, you are required to update.

@Adhominem: awesome XD and I read that with such emphasis on the wonderful words you created, made me laugh
