Why does it have to be so large and luxurious, and be an S-Class competitor? It's supposed to be a Porsche, not a Jaguar or Aston Martin.

It's performance is undeniable. It's beauty though is highly questionable. It's not ugly, but it sure needs to lose the bulk.
That type of car, that focus on experience and handling, instead of luxury and useless gadgets, is not what you're looking for. That type of car just wouldn't jive with Porsche brand values.
I don't there's a boy on earth who grew up in that era that didn't want a Fiero. It's a such a great looking car. Too bad the performance never matched the looks.
It would be if it lost some (lot) of it's bulk. The 928 is a pretty tight and compact car in person. The Panamera is a whale in comparison.
Doubt he's even short. That's just how bloated car and trucks are these days unfortunately.
It's a nice looking truck, but it sure isn't very "small". Wish it went on a further diet.
This truly looks beautiful....and I kind of hate the Jag of today.
One more step away from what made this company a legend.
So much awesome....and then CVT?????
Honestly, I would consider buying one (I currently drive a Cayman, which is more or less the German equivalent of this), but the lack of a manual transmission just makes it a record-stopper for me. Which is a real shame, because I love everything else about it (even the bug lights!). When I think Alfa, I think driving…
Now who will Calvin piss on???
Id actually love it if more cars came without stereos, so you could install your own. OEM audio is usually overpriced and sounds like crap. Unfortunately it's hard to find cars these days that dont have some sort of swoopy dash that you could even swap things out with.
It would probably be a crossover.
The thing is that Porsche has already had entry level models in its past, and they didn't hurt the brand...the 914, the 924/944...and hell, even the Boxster. All these cars brought more people to the marquee, and they all helped build on the ethos of the company.
How would a small sports car from a sports car company cheapen the brand, yet a cheap crossover not? That makes absolutely no sense. If only Porsche was honest and said that they are making this because they simply want to jump on a trend and make buckets of cash, then I could at least appreciate the honesty. But the…
As a Porsche guy, I'd much rather have the cheapo Boxster that was rumored, than this mommy mobile. Too bad that one would have "hurt the image of the brand".
No manual....so I'll take the BMW 1/2, which also gives you RWD.
Ugh, Ive been oggling that one myself. The 928 is achingly beautiful.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who can't stand this kind of excessive pandering. The forced manly manliness of most truck commercials is comically bad. Real farmers don't give a crap their image...only overcompensating wieners who have nothing to buy now that Hummer is gone, do.
