Two to three years ago? Yes, the instant I saw “Ground Zeroes” and that shitty Castlevania reboot that wanted to be a God of War/Shadow of the Colossus clone I knew they were dying. I have believed Konami were the fish flopping on the metaphorical beach of the sea of video games gasping for air trying to stay relevant

The likelihood of that happening is astronomically low, even if they dumped trucks of cash into the FF7 remake, people will buy it, collectors editions, special editions, limited editions, re-releases on PC, shirts, books, re-released movies, action figures, and plenty more. Just putting FF7 on the cover basically

English is not his first language, proofreading his own broken English isn’t going to change anything. Put yourself in his shoes, if you wrote out your comment in German, a language you probably don’t read, write, or speak fluently, are you going to proof read it yourself and go “yep, looks good to me.” Who’s going to

It’s commentary on games. Rainbow Six is stressful because it’s so realistic, meanwhile you could play Destiny, a game about your unkillable space wizard that’s very stress free and stress relieving.

>Getting an Xbox One got you a console that now plays Destiny: The Taken King, Metal Gear Solid V, The Witcher 3, Assassin’s Creed Syndicate, and Fallout 4. You could’ve gotten a PC or PS4 for that, but you’d have missed Halo 5’sgreat new Warzones mode, last fall’s terrific Sunset Overdrive, the superbRare Replay

No one would have “forgotten” the FF7 Remake was happening. Rushing out an episodic string of more than likely overpriced crumbs is nothing more than a lure to get money from the rabid fanboys.

It’s 4 moderately sized story arcs on 2 discs with a finale set-piece on the final third disc. (It’s only 3 discs, FF8 and 9 are 4 discs)

remove several hours of battling, farming/leveling, random “afk” moments where you did something else without touching the game, all side questing/mini-game grinding and the time you spend reading menus and making decisions; if you just went through the story (like in the newer versions on PC+PS4 where you can disable

Yes, it is. You are vastly VASTLY underestimating the power of rose tinted nostalgia goggles for people who think FF7 is God’s gift to the gaming medium.

Firstly; FF7 was 3 discs. Secondly, the fact that memory and storage capabilities have advanced so much is exactly why the this game being turned into an episodic cashcow is complete BS. Square is intentionally trying to ride a hype train to move units on their product as quickly as possible. They took 10 years making

And whats your excuse for multi-disc games? The original Final Fantasy 7 fit into a single release because they included disc swapping. Metal Gear Solid 4 has an install feature where you swap discs to install the gigantic game. Orian is right, they’re just doing this to bleed money out of their fans because they know

so the tl;dr is...

Pick a handle, use it for everything, never regret anything. I’m ThndrMge on all my casual/personal accounts pretty much everywhere and use my initials/last name for professional purposes. I don’t know why this is so hard for people to do. Do you really need a different ID/handle/whatever for every single thing you do?

You, I like you, I like this post...

Not gonna lie, I kinda hope YouTube Red fails spectacularly, because as it stands right now, it’s basically a special echelon of “not quite TV worthy celebs” saying “give us money because what we’re doing is more important than what those plebs on regular youtube are doing”

I agree, I’d be more understanding with the concept if it was a like a weekly or monthly challenge to stay alive as long as possible. If you die, you can’t play again until the reset, but PERMANENTLY getting killed? I expect a TON of refunds for this game.

Considering how shitty the communities on all those “zombie survival” games like DayZ and such are, I expect this will be no different.

I haven’t watched or played a FATE game since FATE/Stay Night’s original anime series a number of years ago and I cannot speak or read Japanese. I beat everything in the game in less than 48 hours (minus dailies of course) this game is not hard, it is not unfriendly to beginners either. I didn’t have to look up

Yeah, exactly, box art is just that, a piece of art, it’s not a scene from the anime, it’s just an artistic presentation of the contents of the box. This particular one seems more like a comedic sketch than a “hey look this box art is drawn poorly, they’d have to be standing at such weird angles!”

Adding to this; this is just for video games. There have also been plenty of other successful kickstarted projects both in and out of the gaming genre. But this is kotaku/gawker; so every story has to be as sensationalist as possible and we never mention anything nice.
