I feel like they are maybe doing too much. In all the clamouring for a FF7 remake I don’t think anyone was asking for two Blu Rays discs to get through Midgar. At this rate how many games / hours is it going to take to get through the entirety of the story? Would it not have made more sense to do a straight remake…

Sony announced a year ago they weren’t doing anything. That’s not a ‘no-show’ because they didn’t have anything. It’s a ‘this isn’t worth our time/effort/money’ to do anymore, because it’s not.

I think you make a great point. There are lots of people living mobile games, but you are right, those people aren't watching E3.
I’m not one for conspiracy theories that don’t involve lizard people draining the life force of goats, but I’m almost positive that Bethesda had plants in that audience. Cheering that loud for mobile games? Nope.
It did reveal the Elden Ring. We don’t know what that is, what it does, or why it’s important. But we do know it is a thing that exists.
