Not having seen the Kolchak remake, what bugged me was the, in the original, he was just a reporter that happened to go after supernatural cases. The snippit I read about the new one gave him this backstory where his wife was killed by something abnormal. Not needed.

I don't know where you got the 4 year to Mars from, everything I've heard (excluding soft sci-fi) is 6 months to a year, one way. I've heard Jupiter being a 4 year one way trip though.

Is there an equivalent for XP? I'm using a 3 year old netbook, dual boot with Ubuntu, but I use XP for games.
