Nah...seems more like a plot hole that was missed. Nothing wrong with that. We’re all human and make mistakes. Just call it what it was and move on. If you don’t, it starts sounding, over time, as ridiculous as doing “the Kessel Run in 12 parsecs”. Johnson, you’re not fooling anybody. Well, I guess some will buy it,

did you actually read any of their explanation for why a bunch of white dudes making clicking sounds and yucking it up about ebola/AIDs is a racist stereotype, or are you just knee-jerk reacting to the headline here

“Pretending to be dominant over another race” is not the definition of racism.

Don’t bother evaluating it further. Dissecting a person’s wordplay on the internet (in the comment section of a blog, no less) is akin to berating parents who dress their newborn daughter in blue; it’s based on the antiquated notion that people give one, let alone two shits about following a different person’s

I think the point there was to drop Will to save enough money to make a series instead of a movie - not because he was bad in it. He was pretty good, as usual, playing pretty much the same sort of action character he always does.

There was a centaur cop too, it was just a quick background gag and they never really addressed what that meant to the overall universe. I don’t think the movie took it’s own world building that seriously

I mean, I don’t have a problem with it.

To be fair, in the comics she started out as a generic femme fatale, and then after The Avengers (the British spy show) hit the US, the artists starting drawing her like Emma Peel. It’s really only in the last decade or so that she’s become something more than a pretty girl in a catsuit.

Seems to be saying that the similarities are superficial, which may or may not be true, but is at least plausible.

I mean, it does seem like a pretty different movie than what I imagine a Black Widow movie would be (i.e., more Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy+sexy times than Bourne Identity).

It’s a tiny part of a lo-res pic of concept art with a hand in the way of 20% of it.

Disagree: I am a lawyer.

the editors of Babe were . . . courting a bad faith conversation

You seem to be misremembering the original trilogy. When Luke was in the Wampa cave he used the exact same force power (Force Pull) for the exact same self-serving reason, i.e. “i’m in danger and i don’t want to die.”

It’s not self propulsion. it’s a force pull. Luke pulled the lightsaber from the snow in ESB with zero training. The light saber was small, he was big, the lightsaber was loose (somewhat) and he was anchored, therefore the lightsaber came to him.

Oh my, the updated mask is amazing, as is the rest of this cosplay. So hype for Black Panther!

Third wave is mostly considered to be “choice feminism”. Like “I choose my choice so it is ok, and it has nothing to do with the patriarchy if I do porn/get plastic surgery/pretend to be dumb to get men etc”.

Fine, I am adding Warframe back to my download queue. This all your fault for the recent articles about it.
