i'm sticking with 2 seaters only. there are plenty of other convertibles that rate, but while others argue that a roadster shouldn't have a roof at all, i think a more modern dividing line should be a 2 seater convertible.
1. gen 2 CTS-V
from a practicality standpoint, the GMC Denali XT from this past winter/spring's shows. i kind of thought it was ugly, but a zeta-based car/truck with seating for 4 or 5, a midgate, a pickup bed, a small displacement SIDI V8, and available AWD/4WD is a lot of win in a lot of respects.
i can't wait to see how chrome on chrome os does. i have several old laptops laying around that could be perfect browser machines
i have the best of both worlds in my opinion.
god that thing is ugly. it looks like a sedan is being overrun by cancerous tumor growth
you mentioned that this is the first time having a c6 convertible with the Z06 bodywork...but it's also the first targa roof c6 with the z06 bodywork. that to me is far more exciting news.
the state of pennsylvania defines a classic car as a vehicle 15+ years old in stock, unrestored condition.
assuming i was keeping what i already have:
the very first car that got me into cars in the first place was my uncle's 66 buick skylark gran sport with a 401 nailhead.
nice setup, but you can tell it was laid out by a programmer and not a designer. the room layout is kind of sketchy at best. he has all that square footage and his desk is kind of jammed in one small space and surrounded. What's the sense of having all that space and making it feel like a cubicle anyway?
good riddance. there hasn't been an attractive BMW since the 90's as far as I'm concerned. meanwhile mercedes and cadillac and pontiac have all made huge steps forward in that same decade
it's definitely a ridiculous antiquated system to have to have a piece of paper in the car as proof of insurance, which is how it still works in PA.
the exterior looks like the dog van from dumb and dumber, but the interior is actually pretty awesome.
why drive cross country in something that has absolutely no fun factor at all like a minivan?
this blows. with GM saying that their "full size" SUV will be lambda-based in the future, and chrysler pulling the plug, how far behind is ford?
the bodystyle as shown above in the original post....there was an interesting import war going on in the 90's for a while with the nissan 300ZX, mazda RX7, the toyota supra, and the mitsu 3000GT/dodge stealth, even the subaru SVX (yech), and i'm sure i'm missing others. many of the replacements for those cars - direct…
