they pay significantly more in larger cities. the SF median is almost double that. Miami is almost 50% higher. 53k is definitely a livable salary in Miami (yeah, your not living on the beach or partying it up 5 days a week, but you are living comfortably in a 1 bedroom apt) let alont 75k.

It’s really not though. If sidewalks are present it is much safer for the runner and the drivers, especially in thin public areas during dusk and dawn. running on the road means drivers will go around you, often over compensating your position which could lead to accidents.
