dev’s typically have sales bonuses as well as future work. Contracts are funny like that, but I understand the heart of your post and yes, most of the money goes directly to the publisher, whom without, the dev’s wouldn’t have had the money to make the game.

The only thing I has seen is steam spy reporting it has sold approximately half a million units on PC, but I am unsure of how they track and if that includes all outlets like amazon and digital keys via other sources.
