Is your car silver with black wheels and a wing? Total long shot, but I am in Vegas and sold my 1999 911 c2 to a lovely couple in California. They sold it a year or so ago.

Agreed. I didn’t mean there is no market, I was genuinely curious who is buying them, what their motivation is and what cars are cross-shopped.

At that crazy price, though? Seems like there would be better options than a raced out, fat BMW.

I drive an impractical, unlivable, inconvenient asshole of a car and even I think this is dumb. Hell, I like BMW, have owned an M3 and think this is dumb. Especially at this price.

Either Hulu or Amazon Prime has all the Seinfeld episodes. I think it is Hulu.

Agreed that a huge amount of energy and creativity is wasted, mostly to promote buying unneeded things. Still, being well paid to spend my days making pretty things feels like a privilege.

I share in your celebration of this kitty campaign!

Some (most?) of the exotic rental companies in Vegas are willing to make appalling shortcuts on maintenance and repairs to keep costs down, to the point of knowingly making the cars unsafe.

I wanted one ever since my older step-brother put up a poster when I was a kid. They are very visceral cars - quite the experience.

What?! Someone cloned my plate?! And put it on a garish, horrible car?! That is shocking...SHOCKING I SAY! You can clearly see my car is white.

Ugh, a million times this. BMW, Porsche (sold both not that long ago) and Pantera owner. Also a Scion xB, heh. Try dating again in your mid 40s and avoiding that additional minefield of stereotypes and judgements.

Hell, I think you are right. It did seem to crunch the hell out of the other car within sustaining much damage. Apparently they kick ass at tank tech, video cam proliferation, oligarchy and hacking?

Oh yeah...Russia. Sometimes I think it would be fun to mix the wild west with modern life, and then I remember that already exists and the video footage is scary as hell.

I bet they stripped that wrap off the car INSTANTLY.

Absolutely. Oftentimes I only leave the house once or twice a week, so it is always a joy to drive, even if I get stuck in traffic. I need to start going for drives on the weekends again.

This was a great read and I look forward to more!

I received a decent amount of smiles from well dressed women back when I had a 996. My wide body Pantera only attracts dudes and strippers.

Maybe they will be new cars, therefore will not meet modern safety standards since they will be built to original spec?

I park WAY out. The downside to that is the car becomes more accessible to people who want pictures. I have zero problems with people taking pics of my car, but they constantly sit on it. The nerve.

Serious question: you mention using the car as a marketing expense. Do you pay yourself a marketing fee? This would be an expense for the business, but you still need to declare it as income on your personal taxes, right?
