I dont think #7 is all that impressive. Your not a jalop if you haven't made a gasket out of a beer box and some point (Ive made many!). Although, I like the idea of using the OJ box since it is wax coated on both sides, so it should seal even better!

So you know its not easy, and its a hell of alot of fun. I would LOVE to hit up a road course, but there isnt one even close to me and even then it is quite expensive. I can drive 45min to a drag strip, hand over 20 bucks and have some fun.

Awesome story! These are the types of stories I want to see more of!

So since you think it is SOOO EASY, let me ask... Have you done any drag racing before? Or are you just assuming because it looks easy, it is?

Because it is ALOT harder then it looks. Most people that talk crap bout drag racing have never done it, and I think its a safe bet 99% of them could not replicate this same time in this car.

Thats one of my daughters favorite movies!

IMO, blowers are old tech and only belong on traditional hot rods, and nothing else. With current turbo technology turbo lag is a thing of the past, and turbos have very little if any parasitic loss.

That car is faster (I looked up the specs and WOW I want one!) But I dont think it was sold in the states and it also wasnt a mass produced car. Thats what the quote was getting at, was the fact it was a production car. Not a limited production tuner car.

The bad thing is that parts are now a major PITA to get. Most of the car is typical turbo dodge stuff, but the head is a lotus design and more or less has no support. That said, the parts are available if you know where to look and still probably cheaper then buying parts for a 5 year old BMW. The 224hp the cars had

Have a family and still want to go fast in the 90's?

COMPLETELY missed that! So when is the QOTD for fwd's coming?

Nice price. I was shopping for 5.0 fox's the other day and I couldn't find a decent one under 4k. Even those had high miles and questionable mods. A real clean 5.0 for 10k? Why not. Its also a goofy 2 seater, so in a sea of fox bodys this car might actually stand out.

Not a single FWD on the list? If you dont think you can hoon a FWD, you haven't LIVED! (and you probably also hate automatics with a passion)

My jaw dropped reading this story, but at the same time I am not even surprised. Not even a little bit. 99% of cops are dicks. Ive had more then a few conversations with the law on the side of the road, and maybe 3 of those I was treated with any respect. Its not a high paying job in many places so the people that

Turbo Lag=Traction control!

I am very excited for the Abarth 500! Ive yet to drive a fiat 500 but even at 6'4" I like small cars. Alot. Im just wondering how much the markup is going to be. I "built" a 500 to my specs and it was cheap, right around 14k. If this is a few thousand more... I may have to have one. Especially if we get the 170hp

One thing I have noticed is that most of the cars that do go up in value by a large margin are VERY hard to predict. I doubt anyone in the muscle era would have ever guessed hemi-big block stripper mopars would be worth what they are now. My dad told me he could have easily retired by now if he would have bought half

Skip step 4. Union and government job=never get fired. Ever.

To start here, I HATE audi's/VW's. But I am so jealous, and much as I dont like those cars THIS car is one that would be on my list of must haves if I ever won the lottery. Great piece of history!
