Isn’t that just most anime? Most characters within the same series seem to have a base form, then features like hair and eyes are slapped onto these bases. There are obviously some exceptions to this, but I’d say that’s the case with 70% of the anime I’ve watched.

Unfortunately, it just isn’t very intuitive. Game controllers aren’t well suited to browsing or using a virtual keyboard for any extended period of time. The 3DS, Vita, and Wii U could’ve fixed that with their touchscreens; unfortunately they went cheap with their browsers and they’re severely lacking.
