It's a tabletop RPG that's played with cards. It's rules are simple and each game takes about an hour so it's good for gatherings with your nerdy friends. Unlike some other tabletop RPGs this game has no story, no game master, and roleplaying is usually not done. The whole point of the game is to get your character to…
Munchkin Adventure Time Game ($19) | Amazon
No kidding, that's pretty cool.
I'm always excited to see what game design/programming students come out with. Digipen has put out some pretty fantastic student projects. Igneous and Nitronic Rush (who's successor Kotaku recently did an article on) are great, and Froggle is the most fun I've had with a grappling hook game in a long time.
Balloon cosplay is a pretty neat idea. Last year I saw this balloon Protoman at a con.
Mike have you tasted the root beer float oreos yet? The cookie is their standard vanilla, but if you close your eyes the cream tastes exactly like a root beer float. I swear to god I've never tasted an imitation food that has gotten closer to the real thing.
I thought this game looked close to the point of infringement. If it's a spiritual successor made by the same devs then that's great news. I had a lot of fun with Nitronic Rush.
@EtikaWNetwork's reaction is by far the most satisfying after having seen his rambling bat-shit crazy theory of why Ridley was "definitely" in the game.
and 3 of them were just recolored versions of each other...
Then, if you start looking closer at animes, even the most innocent ones will show hints of that side of culture. There are some titles where the father figure is patently absent, sometimes both parents.
I've always wondered why students (or young people in general) were so prominent in manga and anime. Even when the protagonists are adults they tend to be man-children, I'm looking at you Great Teacher Onizuka and Welcome to the NHK (2 of my favorite anime and live-action series.) At first I thought it was just…
I really liked Log Horizon, it was a good twist on the "stuck in a game" storyline which has been done so many times. I really love that they focused more on the political side of the rebuilding of society rather than a bunch of warriors on the front line. It was a very nice juxtaposition to Sword Art Online.
More like "hello PS3." I've held off for 8 years and the time for me to finally buy is now. Thanks to Sony's PSN flash sales I've gotten some great PS3 (or at the very least console) exclusives at a deep discount. I've got like 5 games waiting for me, 3 of them can provide with more than 50 hours of gameplay. I'm…
UPDATE: We've now got more details from Nintendo. The packs (the first due in November, the second in May 2015, which is an absurdly long time away) will cost $8 each, or you can get them both for $12. Considering the amount of stuff you're getting (six new characters, eight new cars and 16 new courses increase the…
I mean, this wouldn't be the first Guppy item in a BOI game.
Finally dude. This is a feature I've wanted since Steam started doing its big seasonal sales.
Last Remnant
I fully expect this to make more than triple its goal. It certainly looks interesting, but I think I'll hold on to my cash for now.
