I watched the first five episodes of the Yokai Watch anime over the past few days and I'm really loving it. This is the kind of thing that I can see having very wide appeal in the west and I sincerely hope that Level 5 and US licensing companies are smart enough to see that. A lot of the themes in Yokai Watch are

In case anyone is wondering what a good steadicam shot looks like (stay tuned for the last one.) Here - are - some - personal - favorites. I've grown to absolutely love long takes like these. Something about a successful long take is more satisfying than even the best cuts can achieve.

It does seem a bit inappropriate, but maybe we're missing something. Maybe it isn't a war memorial in the sense of "this plaque is dedicated to the soldiers who lost their lives in x war" but rather a museum about the country's military history. I don't think it is as inappropriate as it is strange. What would possess

Welcome to Java. Additionally, it just wasn't optimized well. It's actually considerably better now than it was in 2010, when I started playing. Mojang has internalized some of the optimization that were implemented by certain mods (namely, Optimine,) so vanilla Minecraft runs passably on older computers.

Because we can. It's kind of nice to be able to swap the visuals with a few button presses. Minecraft, depending on the mods, can also provide a gameplay experience that isn't available elsewhere, but the graphics might not appeal to the player, so changing the visuals might be a step in the right direction.

Who in their right mind would choose a glass eye over a cybernetic implant?

My dog might not be able to run Crysis, but it can certainly cause them.

She wasn't part of the exhibition, but I like Mingjue Helen Chen's series of super hero art, to include Wonder Woman.

Everyone I know calls him "Cliffy B" and IDK what "Dude Huge" refers to.

I'm in support of the practice. I don't think that journalists need to be 100% unbiased in their writing, but if their opinions can muddle the story then they should probably try to separate their opinion from fact. IIRC some of the Kotaku authors injected super toxic language in to every Ouya article they wrote

When I read the title I was going to come here and make a snarky remark about "isn't that basically what Pokemon Mystery Dungeon is?" but this was pretty good. I'd love to see Charmander's adventure to the Elite 4.

I thought that these threads were only bumped when a change is made, but I don't see any. Am I missing something or are you just reminding people that this list is a thing?

Games

Not one, not two, but three Complete Civilization Games for $28. [Civilization Complete]

Max Payne 3's Hoboken felt more like Camden. Camden and Newark are the only places in NJ where I wouldn't want to be caught walking at night. I don't know my way around, it has a lot of shady areas, and high crime rates.

I'm still having nightmares about the Bount arch. That was the beginning of Bleach's long spiral.

Any thoughts on the Xbox One controller? I'm looking for a new PC controller, and the price is comparable to the 360 controller (depending on where you buy.) Based on what I've found online, any PC game that supports the 360 controller also supports the Xbone controller, so I don't need to worry about compatibility

There'd be no way to convince them that those were new systems for more than a couple of years. You'd have to keep them away from both TV and other young people.

So what you're saying is not to update my Wii U. Understood.

The trick is to present your kids during their early years with only the toys you had when you were a kid. They won't know that it's outdated because they won't know that there's anything newer. Years later when they go to school and make friends they'll be super hipster for having used a Super Game Boy. They'll
