In terms of art direction I'm inclined to agree. The Wii U's graphics, Nintendo's games in particular, have a lot of creativity which really contrasts with what many other games are doing. On the flip side, the Wii U isn't capable of the same level of detail as its competitors.

And it doesn't use the Wii U GamePad much for anything other than a horn or overhead track view—or for off-TV play. But that's fine. Basic is fine. Mario Kart didn't need messing with!

But all of the cars in Mario Kart are open topped...

The N64, PS1, and Sega Saturn looked god-awful. At the time the technology was revolutionary, but I think that even at the time people realized that 2D games still had more aesthetic appeal. In the present we can appreciate the impact that the N64 and PS1 had on gaming, but to say that the systems had incredible

I hadn't noticed (I guess anime does that to you,) but now that you've brought it up it's glaringly obvious.

It's ambitious, and ambitious indie games scare the shit out of me. I've seen far too many fall flat on their face or fail to make it out of the door at all. If this does well then it'll be a triumph, but if it does poorly then I won't be surprised.

As one of the biggest video game critics today I wonder where he can go from here.

Agreed, the only give-away is the smooth camera movement. IRL even the smoothest of camera movements still have visible shake.

The Adventure Mode is far superior than going through the story. It's pretty great both late game for loot and early game for leveling. The XP gain after each bounty is pretty significant and the rifts are pretty great for increased loot chance.

I think that Warcraft 3 was the best RTS ever made. The map builder was extremely versatile, the campaign was fun, and Blizzard had continued to support the game for a very long time. WoW was fun for me for a while, but the novelty of it really wore off by the time Lich King came out. Stacraft 2 just didn't have the

The Wii U (and the Wii) have been the butt of every core gamer's jokes for nearly the past decade. Nintendo as a company might be a juggernaut, but the Wii name is a dwarf in the gaming industry.

I still think that Blizzard's best trick was the announcement of the Wil-O'-Wisp race for WoW.

I want it.

I'll give it a try, thanks.

The whole fucking thing just sounds terrible right from the get go. I mean, presenting a game jam as a reality tv show is a horrendous idea that only the most warped mind could come up with. The right way to do this would be as a documentary, either as a single movie or broken up in to smaller sections, and delivered

The beta was rife with these sorts of glitches. I remember jumping from a bridge in some flooded ruins on to an arch that was above a flooded hallway. In usual MMO fashion, the developers didn't want people there so I just slid right off, but instead of falling in to the water and swimming I fell to the floor of the

Neat. The girl has a lot of concentration, and clearly practices. I wonder how well her skill with tricks translates to an actual field.

I miss Squaresoft and Enix. I still find myself calling Square-Enix by its older names (depending on the title in question.) What a terrible offense to the original companies.

Thanks for the info. Yeah, that's the university. Their Chinese website is barely functioning, and there is no link from their main site to their Chinese site. If one types in "Kean China" you won't find the link to their Chinese website, and when typing "Kean Wenzhou" the site is like 10 links down the page. In

But there are actually people that do that. The internet is chock full of Disney one universe theories. It's bizarre.
