I think Warcraft 3 also just had a better community, in my experience. Starcraft's community was so competitive when I was playing the original, and there were less custom games (or maybe just not as many good ones,) which was a huge draw of Warcraft for me.

I'd kill for Warcraft 4. I think that, to this date, I've sunken more time in to that game than any other. For whatever reason, I've always liked the Warcraft series more than Starcraft, even though their gameplay isn't wildly different.

The cast's aging could probably be fit in to the lore. The series isn't completely dead, there have been two comic book series. Joss could write a few comics to explain the time jump, and we'd be in business.

To some degree, I actually do miss it. Some of the best times I had in GTA started with a cheat code. Tony Hawk also had some cool cheat codes, like playing as Spider-Man or making your character very fat.
