Your last paragraph interests me. If that's a possibility then why don't more developers do that? Why the hell was I stuck using WINE when I had Ubuntu on my computer? It seems to their benefit since it is relatively little work with a potentially huge payout since you're opening your product to a new market of

*rolls eyes*

As someone else already said, they probably have connections within the industry. Beyond that, I think a lot of people would buy a cheap system without putting much thought in to it. I personally know someone who bought a red Wii (not Wii U) out of a garbage bag from a guy on a street corner near Walmart for $30.

And it was at this moment that PalmtopTaiga found himself in a position of power over all the peons watching the show. Would he use his new found powers for good or evil?

Not having new content is the same as having a bad store. You can own the prettiest Hallmark greeting card store in the country, but if it only stocks 10 cards then it is a poor store.

Agreed; the idea that it was a Linux exclusive device seemed like a death sentence for a steam based gaming console.

I'm not sure that calling homosexuals "queer" in the first paragraph was the most politically correct thing to do.

I personally think the fact that the online store is doing so poorly hilarious. I was skeptical about the Wii U (I got it anyway,) and one thing I would always point to is Nintendo's terrible third-party support and awful online store on the Wii. All of the Nintendo fanboys assured me that it was just because it was

I couldn't answer that. It depends on the developer's skill both in during the conversion process and during the initial development. If the initial code is all over the place then it will make the port extremely difficult.

Well, I doubt it will have a PC interface, but you're right in saying that it will run like a computer. All video game consoles are just computers made for a specific purpose. The Steam system, perhaps more than any other console to date, will run a lot like a computer since it runs off Linux. I wouldn't be surprised

It's not my fault the world is full of Plebs.

That blurb confused me as well. The song is clearly a remix of a Beatles song and is in English.

Implying that the vast majority of Americans make retarded statements, are racist, and don't know the difference between satire and irony.

Android is based on Linux as OSX was based on Unix. They are similar, but using one isn't the same as using the other. It is completely up to the developers to port the game over, and if they decide not to then there is nothing that the consumers can do. On top of that, if you're depending on Android games then this

The 13MB/s is one machine.

I think saying that lots more games are supporting Linux is a bit of an overstatement. The original Amnesia supported Linux, so I'm not surprised by this.

I'm always most impressed by cosplayers who go with simple character designs, because I think they're the hardest to pull off. The Journey costume is pulled off brilliantly.

FTL is overlooked? I thought it was one of the most popular indie titles of the year.

Eek, where do you live? 7-10MB/s is slow for me, and I have 4 PC's on the internet at any given time, I get ~13MB/s on average, but I get a pretty sharp drop when someone is downloading a game from Steam or something.

The blurb about it being able to play 30 indie games is referring to the fact that it is Linux-based. There are only 41 games on steam which are for Linux and all except Serious Sam 3 and Team Fortress 2 are Indie.
