Win 7 64 works flawlessly for me as well - if you can't open a .doc A .DOC with a windows machine, there's not a problem with windows...there's a problem with the user. .docs were MADE for Windows machines.
This guy is a freakin moron if he can't figure out how to open a .doc file on Windows 7.
