That’s the last generation of Cherokee that I liked. Post-refresh, it retained its identity undiluted.

All jeepers are delusional. That’s why they sell for this much. I can’t explain why but they are probably going to get their asking price. 

It’s a Jeep thing, and I don’t get it

Does anybody else feel bad for this Jeep? It’s gone its WHOLE LIFE without being off road. Never felt the joy of mud in its wheel wells, the liberty of one wheel freely spinning in the air. No, this is not a pristine Jeep. This is a monument to the faltering of the American way of life.

Serious question: How strung out on drugs do you have to be to think a 19-years-old Cherokee is worth $12K?

$12 Thou for a 2001 anything except a Ferrari is way too much.  Yes it’s in good shape all over, but spend the $12 Large on something without a cassette player.  CP

If you want a vehicle like this, this is an easy Nice Price.

Two grand is close to “any running and legal car” territory.

Relatively low mileage, decent condition, looks good from 15', less than $2K (aka couch cushion change money)? How can this NOT be NP? It’s a cheap winter beater that is actually presentable.

Way back when, around the time this thing was new, I had one as rental car outside Toronto. It rode like crap. Every frost heave felt like I was taking the General Lee over Roscoe’s patrol car. It was even white with beige leather too. I hated that car, 2nd worse rental I ever had (worse was a Mitsubishi that couldn’t…

Was recently shopping for a vehicle in this range, most are roached outside and in and drive like crap.  If this runs and have a salvage title or close to 200,000 miles, easy nice price here.

I went to the dealership’s website to make sure this wasn’t one of those weasel ads where the listed price is actually the down payment. This one seems to be legit. I don’t know what more you could want for $2,000. NP as long as they don’t lure you in with this price and then try to double it with bullshit fees. 

Drives fine for just under 2k. Beggars can’t be choosers at that point. NP

My guess is that the door handle broke (IIRC, those are notorious for snapping?) and they replaced that with a used part. Seems like a weird spot for a scrapping yard to put a marker otherwise.

For just shy of 2k, this could be a good third car for weekend projects, bad weather, when the other is in the shop. Generally if it moves under it’s own power for under 2k, it is a good thing.

A winter beater family hauler for $2K, I’ll give it a NP. Just wondering why this Buy here Pay here lot is selling it for so cheap
