The key aspect nobody here is talking about is Haas' experience with commercial connections. He's far more aware of the need for a title sponsor than other start-ups, far more able to nab one, and far better equipped to deliver against their commercial needs.

I disagree. Getting the F1 interested stirred in the US has been a huge interest of Bernie's for some time now. (because it means a lot of money) I'm sure he's very hopeful they succeed.

Well he is right. There has been other teams that have been approved, but have collapsed on costs before the season have even started. Even one particular US team from 2010 comes to mind...

For 10k, maybe. For 6k, sure. But 28,000? No. And I highly doubt the car does 60 in under 4 seconds.
