For many tasks, semi-autonomous robots can be used without risking human life. We’ve had robotic explorers rolling around Mars for years but we are a long way from being able to send and return a human. Space exploration does not require us to be in space.

I agree that the races should go on. I think it’s a foolish thing to do, personally. There is Moto and GT racing where there is plenty of room to lay the bike down. There are still fatalities, but the number in recent years is way below the TT.

Maybe they used Bing for the conversion. Zing!

I think in the movie, they make a lame joke about females being more docile - but there is a valid scientific reason (I can’t remember if the book touches on it). Everything begins to develop as female, it’s sort of the default embryonic state. Males (possessing a Y chromosome) release a developmental hormone (I

Oh hilarious. You incorrectly grammar-nazi’d someone while trying troll-hijack a thread. That is freaking hilarious.

This whole thread is pretty funny to me, cause my first thought was it was some kind of homolagated sedan made from all the other sedans being made now. I think everyone can see something of every other car in it.

Hope this doesn’t duplicate too much - but history in public education tends to cover the broad strokes of history. While the Civil War is obviously a big event in our past, I think it gets maybe a week of coverage. It did when I was in high school. You get some of the reasons, the main battles and then reconstrction.

So many of the things that people rail against removing coming from the 1950s. They arguement is always “Our founding fathers... blah blah blah”. But that is all BS. I wish more people spent some time actually reading and learning about the things they claim to love and respect, then decide if it is worth fighting to

The story I had heard was that the three of them decided pretty early on to not let the music be used in ads. I don’t think it was about marketing or selling out, just not having control of how it would be used - like how political ads used Born in the USA and Fortunate Son in some commercials even though the full

I admit I am all too susesptible to the Troll. Not sure why. I’ll get into something like this and it will remind me to stay clear for a while, then my guard comes down. Thanks for the post.

It’s all too true. And I’m not advocating not doing this stuff. I thinks it’s awesome and everyone should. I waste more time than I should daydreaming about doing a RWD/V8 conversion on a ‘99 Mercury Cougar simply cause it was the first new car I bought and have a big soft spot for it. Granted, it would be after

So why isn’t it absurd for me to disagree with what you post? But this is so positive to the community. Good thing you post so much.

1. I rechecked your recent post history. I saw very little positive. I’m sure you think you are - but you are not. I stand by that statement.

Man, I looked at some of your other posts. You are the saddest, bitter shit I’ve ever seen. On the plus side, I know not to bother posting to you anymore.

God, I really am tired of people saying this. The V6 Camry is realistically quite fast. There are going to be a lot of cars that are not faster in a straight line than a Camry. But that does not change the fact that Camry’s suck massive ass - or that a lot of those cars are going to be good cars to drive and own. The

I generally agree - I don’t think he’s out in left field with his pricing and I am sure he’s losing money since he went with new parts for the engine/tranny. But I think the reality is that it’s still a bit too high and that the reason is because of the choice of car to start with. I approve of projects like this and

Well, to be fair, I think the rider used his ability to leave the fire - whereas the GoPro is awesome, but lacks legs.

From what I’ve seen, jack-asses driving too fast and passing where they shouldn’t is all too common in Italy. I think drivers get a lot more practice avoiding this kind of thing than the average Murican.

It is really well done (seems to, at least). But this is just one of those cases of putting a bit too much time and money into something that was too low value to begin with. Just like you don’t put granite counters and Viking appliances in a mobile home and don’t put brand new engines and transmissions into cars that
