When we were shopping for a car in March, there were some people test driving a used one at the Mazda dealership we were visiting. I had to do a double take. I had the same thought - why did they make it look so good if they weren’t going to back it up?

DISAGREE.

I had the same thought. It seems in decent shape and it would cost you way more if you wanted to “build” your own. I don’t have a use for it - but then I don’t have a use for any stretched limo variation. That doesn’t mean there is not a use. I do wonder how people get in the back seat.

Very funny, troll. We all watch Top Gear.

Is that how that woman backed into his 73 911 RSR? Leno drives his as much as he can - but most of them sit 9% of the time. When you own a big collection of cars, what are you going to do?

Very good write up - but the question is “coolest Collector” not “Coolest Collection”. Of the guy you mention, who do you think is the coolest? I personally find the fashion industry useless and insane and Ralph Lauren seems to embody that completely. I agree his collection is awesome (though I would not vote it

Ha, I immediately thought “collectors I would hang out with” cause that’s obviously the end all of being cool. Of course, that made me not think about dead guys. Even if McQueen wasn’t a collector in the traditional sense, his massive cool makes up for a lot. I’d still rank him number 2 behind Leno, though.

Came here to agree with whoever got this in first. Every time you see him, it’s plain he is a car guy. For all the right reasons, as well. He’s like the Tim Brown of car guys - second place is so far behind it might as well be another category.

Yeah, I need more info on this. The pipes that let air out of the engine can somehow “fail” - which is the first part I don’t understand - then require a rebuild, the second head scratching part of this. Doug, pony up some info here.

What the hell is going on in that? Are those juvenile males or lionesses?

Good call - I forgot that a lot of them live in states without income tax. In fact, I am sure that’s where the 3% tax comes from - that state wanted a sweet taste of his contract money just like everyone else. I wonder if musical acts negotiate a higher rate to offset having to pay a tax to perform at these venues.

Cruises are quite fun. I was surprised how much I enjoyed them. Have you ever been to a resort or a nice hotel? Now imagine ever day or two, your hotel drops you off at a different place to explore. They don’t ever seem that crowded, there are plenty of things to do or places to chill and do nothing. Perfect, no - but

There is a guy who comes to Triathlons I do with his Boxster, he has a rack that is part suction cup. It’s a trip.

The dues part got me wondering. I saw something that their Union dues is a lot less. I couldn’t find anything about MLB dues when I searched. I did see there are 750 active players - now I don’t know if they are scaled by how much the athlete is making, but if they all pay 1000 dollars every two weeks - that’s 19.5

That is a very strange thing - I wonder if you can satisfy it by getting an apartment. Hell, he’s paid 26K by May 15 for the tax? You get a $1500 apartment for the year, it’s only 18K. And you can tell some legislature to go suck it. But the odd thing to me about it was that he paid over 9 grand this pay period but

Due to a number of reasons, we’ve had a run on used cars of late and the market has gone up a bit (at least in my area). It seems like Europe has cheaper used cars than us all the time, though. Not sure why - but this seems a bit overpriced to me - guess we’ll see what the voting says. :)

I’d rather not do either. Like you and a lot of people said, the scale must be playing tricks. Although 5.2 M - which is about 16 ft - just looks odd. It’s also likely the fact most big ships I see pictures of are cruise ships and aircraft carriers.

Does it really ride that low? That seems like it would terrifying in rough seas - it would be part submarine?

Well, I don’t really care what other posters are saying. I didn’t criticize the student or mother. You are falling into the same trap that you accuse so many other of. You are calling this professor a creepster based off one mother’s complaint. You don’t know any of the details, yet you assume there is coercion

It’s valid to say the professor might not be hearing the complaints - although I assumed in this case he meant official complaints. Students complaining to each other it’s not something they would do is not a big problem to me. It’s obviously not for everyone. And people disagreeing with the course content or even the
