The $200,000 raised through Kickstarter will apparently not cover the costs of shipping the backers their guns. According to Kotkin, it will be closer to $600,000. This is why backers are being asked to pay a little more.

Have you played the game as you seem to have a pretty strong opinion on the product? I ask because last time I checked the game doesn't come out for another 16 or so hours...

I can't speak for everyone, but for me it's because these different reviewers are potentially rating on different scales. And I don't mean 1-5, 1-10, 1-100, etc. I mean that one reviewers 7/10 could and probably does mean something different than another reviewers 70/100. It's all very unreliable and makes the numbers
