If you’re thinking of the subplot I think you’re referring to, that was pretty clearly at the expense of the male characters. They more explicitly take on the gender imbalance in the second season.

Assuming there wasn’t more to the email, the assumption when talking to a journalist is that they can use what you say. If he reached out for comment, and that was her comment, I don’t really see what he did wrong.

I appreciate that it sucks to be doing advocacy work for a long time and then finally receive attention for something mostly unrelated but, “I want nothing to do with either side,” is just shirking all responsibility when you’re doing exactly what one side wants from you.

“Would I have localized the game the same way as the actual localizers? Why or why not?” Those are legitimate grounds for discussion. But anyone who calls it localization when they like it and censorship when they don’t does not hold a position that should be taken seriously.

I think a non-Samus adventure in the Metroid universe could be cool. However, everything about this looks generic, low-rent, and really not in line with the atmosphere of the series. Whatever he may say, this does not look like a passion project.

I think it might be, and honestly I think that’s only the second question. I think the first question is if the laws are even in good faith, and I’m not sure he thinks they are.

I think there’s a decent chance Roberts sides with them. He’s unquestionably a conservative but he’s not a partisan, which is why conservatives have been invoking him as a failure recently.
