That's the only scene Manohla Dargis praised in the Times. Your comment pretty much sums up the rest of her review (though she also called Jennifer Lawrence's performance "bland"). Ross is unfortunately already committed to Catching Fire, but maybe the studio can get him out of it.

And then they want to "get rid" of Planned Parenthood, the best place for people who DON'T have insurance to get the care (and incidentally, the pills) they can afford!

I feel the same way too. One thing that does make me think twice though, is, was Clementi's suicide note ever released? At the time of publication, the NYer article said it wasn't. That would be the only thing that could convince me that Ravi's actions in some way did influence Tyler's suicide. Without it, I'm

When I was on a regular dating site I got paired up with my friend's ex (who I had already briefly dated before she dated him, and found him wanting). And we live in NYC!

Between this and the Fresh article from yesterday, I'm working up to a weekend trip... I have the Multiple in Orgasm but I really want to try G-spot now.

I love Orgasm (powder that is. The multiple is, for me, too light to be used as a blush — I use it as a highlighter) but sometimes it's too pink for certain makeup looks or with certain lipsticks. I really like the powder blush in Torrid, it's a little more neutral. And I love the Cactus Flower cream blush. It's

Yup, I have the Sugar lip scrub — my mom got it in a gift set and after I tried it I had to order my own. I like it a lot — even after I wash off the granules it leaves a bit of moisturizing balm behind. I use it almost every day. I don't like the scent of most Fresh products so I don't like the lip balms pictured

I know, I can't believe there won't be another new episode till mid-April! I blame March Madness, though... in reality, most shows are taking a break right about now.

That's Ashley, Victoria's henchwoman. That dress was heinous.

This is nothing new at Catholic colleges. 10 years ago, my college was a few miles away from a Catholic college and a friend of mine dated a guy who went there. He got expelled when his RA found a condom wrapper in his trash can.

I work in publishing and once got a random call (it had nothing to do with the department I worked in) from an irate B&N manager because one of our authors had come in for a signing and slipped business cards into all the copies of *his own book* in the store. I thought it was hilarious, actually.

Hey Rush, guess what — thanks to you, I just bought this book! (this stuff is waaaay up my alley — love to read about food politics). HA!

I've been known to get the hiccups when drunk, and we discovered recently, so does Mr. G. Then last night, out of the blue, our kitten got hiccups. I mean, I've made jokes about "like mother, like daughter" before, but last night I was giving her the side-eye, all "Have you been sneaking a taste, Littlest G?"

I may be the only person that disliked Penelope's gown. The way it stretched across her bust made it look like her torso was frowning.

My group speculated they had turned around during the announcement of the nominees to tuck JLo's nipple back into her dress...

There's a person in my life I'd define as "mentor" but not in a formalized way. I worked with her as an intern, but she wasn't my boss. She and I had a friendly connection and our industry is small so she's been part of my working life ever since. Over 10 years she's done everything from suggest a continuing-ed

#COTD - this person needs a star!

I didn't realize there's an Evangelical obsession with the holocaust. I'm going to have to read/Google up on that. Very interesting, thanks for mentioning. Maybe I'll be more prepared next time.

"Be Open" is the hardest one. I grew up going to a very open and affirming UCC church. Last year I went to Palm Sunday services with family because my mom and I were visiting my grandmother. This was an Evangelical church, and I sat through the whole service with my mouth literally hanging open. The "praise music"

This makes me sad. My mom trains teachers on a reservation in my home state; they have a Salish language school in the town that also works with the regular public school, and they bring in the Elders regularly to work with students. It's not impossible to get staff and teachers on board to keep the languages alive.
