I cannot stop!
I cannot stop!
@MaggieF: Oh, I saw that somewhere (Ent.Weekly?) and it sounded really interesting.
@AnnieTheRed: Oh heaven, Middlesex is soooo good. I think Jeffrey Eugenides has a new book coming out either this fall or in January. I can't wait.
@FleurDeLis: Ha! I might have returned mine too except that I got it at a reading and it's signed. (Yes, I am a nerd.) It was kind of cool to see her in person though — she looks as if time has stood still since her Rules of Attraction days with Bret Easton Ellis at Middlebury.
@Ipomoea: @wolfewife: I bet I've read The Robber Bride minimum at least 50 times.
@TadpoleAngel: Oh I have a copy of Ada sitting around that I've never read, maybe I need to.
And if you (like me) have already read Possession, Wind Up Bird, and the Handmaid's Tale, might I suggest...
@dink: No Harry asked "Has someone been using my office?" and Joan said "Mr. Sterling doesn't have a TV."
One of my worst fears come to life! Auuughhhh!!!
@rampantwhistler: Or, owner of blackberry, iPhone, or new Mac keyboard with super-shallow keys.
@la.donna.pietra: I was on vacation with my parents in CA a few months ago, and my dad's credit card company put a hold on his card after it was hit with an $600 charge from a Ralph's.
@quagmire: Montana has state-run liquor stores, too. They close at 5pm and aren't open on Sundays. Which is why my parents keep 3 huge bottles each of Bombay and Scotch in the closet under the stairs at all times.
@vamusical: I love that graphic! I just had a moment of horror because I just emailed a designer to ask for a logo design for my disorganized non-profit... but then I remembered that I was asking her to bid on the project for which we will pay her handsomely. Tentacle dodged!
@mrsjakeryan: I heard Connie Britton on Fresh Air the other day and she is just a gem. They played a clip of her "sex talk" with Julie and it brought tears to my eyes again. She should have been nominated that year.
@fabulousrobots: It's a really entertaining show. Sometimes it gets a little formulaic, so I can't usually watch more than one or two in a row, but it's reliably enjoyable. Definitely check it out on DVD. Another extremely entertaining USA show: Royal Pains.
Can anyone share my glee that Sharon Gless was nominated for Best Supporting Actress as Michael's mom on Burn Notice... anyone? Bueller?
@Carlos the Dwarf: I was coming over here to say that. It's about frickin' time! I'm kvelling!
@bowleserised: ...because why else would anyone read Sadie Frost's autobiography, except to get the dirt on Jude!
@lollilove: I once found a pair of underwear under my bed 3 YEARS after I'd had a one night stand with an ex. I was swiffering away and suddenly, there it was! I was so happy: it went with a matching bra.
If I would ill for that twisted-bow leather belt, imagine what I'd do for one of those gowns....
