@goodvibez: Read at your own risk: my friend and her boyfriend went scuba-diving in Mexico. With Whale Sharks. The water was really cloudy, so when they jumped in at first, it was hard to see. When the water around him cleared, the BF realized he was in. the Whale Shark's. mouth.

@ScarlettOHannah: Honey, do this now: mix equal parts water and Hydrogen Peroxide. Dab on with a q-tip. Wait a couple of seconds, then dab on some Milk of Magnesia.

@Snowbunny: I did the popcorn and wine thing just last night. Worked like a charm!

Deep water. The idea that I could be floating along and OMG something huge is underneath me even if it's something that won'teatmewhalesharkgaahhhhhh!

@bookling: That is a good catch! And I don't think the producers of this show would ever do something like that accidentally. We might not ever get an explanation, but I bet it was intentional.

@dripdrop: I am WITH you. I cannot handle Doc Jensen any more. I read one or two sentences and then decide I'm bored. I mean, I always read both before, but now I'm finding I only need Tracie's.

@Rosaxé: Yes, I was coming over here to say that is definitely her, and you know what, good on her! She looks great, smiley and happy.

@elysium_kitschen: I was also wandering around in Brooklyn yesterday and, after overheating, had to take off my mittens and hat, too. (It wasn't that cold)

This sounds fantastic — great interpretation! A friend of mine in college directed an all-female Henry IV Part 1. The fight scenes and Falstaff stuff were great.

@sableized (vive la suisse!): Interesting — I have a Greek friend named "Ianthe" — is it a different word with an I vs. an X?

@emvol: YES. And while I don't love the bootie shape/style, I do love how the chain neck of #11 was mirrored by the chain-covered shoes.

You know when long- or curly-haired dogs run around in the snow and get zillions of small snowballs stuck to their legs and belly?

@BothFeet: There is a huge Esprit store right down the street from my office (on 5th Ave in NYC), which is still so weird to me.

@Jenna: Well, great, now I'm thirsty. That sounds delicious!

@Ant_de_Lioncourt: This was the early 90's, so my mom was hugely into Marquez, Isabel Allende, Laura Esquivel; I remember all those authors had new books out around then. I read them all. House of the Spirits... so good.

@ilovedavelister: Haha, our moms would like each other. My mom gave me 100 Years of Solitude to read when I was 12 or 13. And she teaches teachers how to teach reading!

Anna, as a woman who yesterday plunked down 50 bucks for Plan B, I am SO with you.

@phoenix6666: No, she lives with this guy. I think she means partner in the "more than boyfriend, not yet husband" sense.

Oh no. He was so young, with so many brilliant years of creativity ahead of him. I am so sad for his friends and family. *mourn*

@beatrice2000: People do this. A friend of mine went on an internet date with a guy who was making a documentary about internet dating, and he wouldn't go on a second date with her because she was "too sane."
