Manhattan Users Guide sent out her poem "On the Pulse of Morning" today.
Wheee! What a bunch of smart women! Respect.
And you know, people who photograph beautifully sometimes look really creepy and unnatural up close.
Yeah, I think there was some backstory missing on this whole bathtub incident. And if it were me trying to fall asleep, the splashing noises of my housemates in the tub wouldn't keep me awake...It would be the CAMERAS and BRIGHT LIGHTS pointed at my face.
@Diziet_Sma: I cross-stitched that onto a sampler and gave as a wedding-shower kitchen gift to a friend who loves Michael Pollan.
@jfk1624: I'm feeling concerned about her. It looks like she's gotten herself the New Face.
@BessieMaeMucho: I had the exact same reaction, and was coming down here to exclaim it.
Bwahahah Dita Von Teese's costume! It reminds me of the time in college when this super punk/goth kid in my Philosophy class borrowed his roommate's Abercrombie & Fitch gear and went decked out as a jock for Halloween. Hilarity!

@bananastand: Eeeee! I saw him on Broadway in Rent! Love.
@Im Chuck Bass: Tons. She'll be this year's Amy Winehouse. There'll probably still be a lot of Amy Winehouses, too.
@SarahMC: My brother and his GF have a huge height differential, so she wanted to dress up in a way that accentuates the difference. This is why I love her: her first suggestion was an Ewok and Chewbacca, her second was Mini Me and Dr. Evil. LOVE that this girl was willing to wear a furry midget costume.
