Maybe someone said this already, but regardless: It really bothers me that people call her out for concentrating on high-calorie foods, sweets and cream. It's not Nigella's fault that some people have no self-control. A few sweets, some cream in your coffee, it's all OK in moderation. If you wanna eat an eclair, go

@Lkkelly11: A sad PSA for the effects of smoking. She needs to quit.

Ugh, I sweat SO MUCH I have to shower in the am and after working out. But I love the occasional Sunday where I don't go anywhere, shower, or put on makeup.

Oh my god I Amazon-d Christopher Pike and can't stop reading all the summaries. Anyone remember "Master of Murder" — where the high school kid is a bestselling thriller author writing under a pseudonym (um...gee, wonder where that I idea came from?). And he writes a story that predicts some girl's actual murder?

Ah, just Amazon-d. "Locked in Time" was the one with the creepy voodoo stepmother/brother. How I loved these. Wonder what my mom did with all of them...

@hatepaperdoll: @westcoastsally: Oh that was one of my favorites! That was Duncan, right? The other fave was the one where the girl gets sent to a "special" school where it turns out the teachers are channeling the spirits of great artists and musicians of the past through the girls and then selling the works of art

Something about the side view really bothers me. Maybe it looks poorly altered? Dunno what it is. But full front and full back views are gorgeous.

@SarahMC: Amen. Reading the Jezebel comments is the best part of my day.

I miss Heather more and more each day.

Oh, and the Paula Abdul bits almost made me pee myself.

Ha ha! I am not afraid to admit that I love her. I watched this last night (drank half a bottle of wine) and then watched my favorite (DVR'd) parts of "Strong Black Woman" and "Everyone Can Suck It" (the tales of Lohan-run-ins in that one are particularly hi-larious).

Ha ha. Schadenfreude!

I have a DWR table and chairs from about 5 years ago. Table was $400 (not bad for an extendable table that seats 8), and Kyoto chairs for $100 each. But then their prices shot up ridiculously. Now I toss the catalog without looking.

@ineffable.me: Maybe it's Elizabeth Taylor's son (or daughter). Didn't she have babies in one of the last couple episodes?

I second, third, and fourth the fish oil recommends. I don't like multivitamins (too much extra stuff your body doesn't need), so I also take a magnesium pill (as suggested by a yoga teacher to help with foot/leg cramps), a folic acid pill when I'm having my period (or if I have a canker sore) and a vitamin B-12 pill

Also? It hasn't below 40 degrees in New York. This afternoon I was out without a coat and I was fine. Lame.

@emily.jayne: Apparently, if Anna is your mom, you get Louboutins. Want!

Aw, El Conquistador's name reminds me of my dear departed marmalade cat, William the Conquerer. Willie for short.

@petunia942: This week's Economist has an interesting little piece on Huckabee, discrediting a lot of his claims. And apparently he has even connected abortion and illegal immigration, ie: "would America need to import so many workers if it hadn't let multitudes die in the womb." What a jackhole.

@gerbilsinlove: Ha ha! We had a singing/walking reindeer when I was a kid, and the dog (a huge muscle-bound Lab) would try to hide under the sofa whenever we brought it out. He was more scared of that reindeer than he was of the vacuum!
