Pffft. Call me when he jumps from the Moon.

People who read literature /science fiction / poetry, in a thread about writing science fiction lit? Guess reading ain't your bag. That's cool, not many people do it these days. :)

Context matters. "Contemporary diversity" or, how this modern/progressive/Western society defines the term, is a different animal and carries with it a LOT more meaning than "diversity" did 70 years ago. I like how you added absolutely nothing useful to the post except a shallow reading of my comment.

This actually reminds me of a poem I wrote, published in Star*Line (newsletter for the Science Fiction Poetry Association) titled "Urbana" — which someone then translated into Polish. Short and sweet.

Stanzas? Check. Enjambment? Check. It's a poem.

See my response to the original poster who took the bait. :)

Because poetry is poetry. Is that infuriatingly circular enough for you? Just kidding, but not really.

"THis. It kills me all the modern poetry mags that publis prose as poetry. Poetry MUST have either rhyme scheme OR meter OR a good combination of structural form and use of metaphor etc. or it is prose."

You clearly have no idea of what can constitute "poetry." Your definition is outdated.
