Doing this would take infinitely more work, and at that, much more dangerous work.
You’d still have to do all the same toxin removal, gut the interior of the ship, waste countless barrels of oil moving it, build a structure for it to sit on, constantly repaint and treat for rust, and a million other concerns.
How does this save anyone from exposure to toxic chemicals, or reduce risk in any way?
