Yes! My mom is so upset we don't want a ceremony at home. I told her next year we'll do a party but this year there's no way.

Good for you! It's hard to stop once you're in school mode. I always consider going back for my h.D. but since I did my B.A. and M.A. back-to-back, it just is hard to get that momentum again.

You are right. A lot of sitting rooms, or back parlors, became “family rooms” when there wasn’t company.
