For tomato sauce, you're right. But I usually stick with Alio e olio or pesto.

Add olive oil to the water with salt for pasta, learn to chop onions, then apply to other vegetables like cucumbers, tomatoes and that vinaigrette recipe is way too oily. I personally prefer to start with a small amount of oil, then increase to taste....but I also add other things to complete it.

True, but in terms of being able to obtain older Minolta AF primes for a reasonable cost that are image stabilized and will work on any Sony Alpha, I still feel the same as 72Riv. This is also a good way for a beginner to get into shooting with a DSLR and learn their way around a system without breaking the bank.

I could say this about Sony/Minolta. Seems that with most of these 'best of' reviews, they don't look much past CaNikon, which is just unfortunate.
