It did not “give people jobs”, they already worked there, stop giving excuses to companies, especially ones famous for mistreating their employees.

No, from my perspective when you make 3 games over the course of a decade, with a studio bigger than most independent studios, and for the second time are doing a remake in that same time span, it’s a cash grab.

It does look better. The question is did it really need this? You do have diminishing returns coming into play here. The original, despite being a late gen PS3 game, still looks good, and it’s PS4 remaster even better.

Every time someone expresses a lack of enthusiasm for something or has a debate online, there's always someone to project their own emotional immaturity to the situation and insist someone is angry.

This game must have prevented layoffs,

I’m not angry. I’m wryly amused at the executive of a company known for mistreating its workers using a project that is an entirely known quantity from the beginning as a disingenuous example of supposed improved working conditions as though that’s not an intentionally misleading apples/oranges comparison.

How about if people want it you not go out of your way to dissuade people out of wanting to be excited about it by feeding negativity.

My favorite part of this whole deal is ND crowing about how this game was made “without crunch.”

I don’t have anything to add, but I wanted to comment because large, in depth articles like this one are valuable, and we won’t have more of them without sufficient “engagement.”

This is pedantic (The AV Club!) but is the head of an anti-gang nonprofit really “the other side of the law”? Like he was definitely on the other side of the Law when he subbed in for Jesse L. Martin on Law and Order, but maybe not here.

deceive you, This Fool needs some time —> deceive you; This Fool needs some time (also, what the hell is this sentence trying to say?)

Article title within a month: Game Pass exclusives are bad for the consumer and the industry, actually

That was huge and a suprise to me.  I figured it was getting such hype before launch that there was no way it was gonna be a day one GamePass(I had missed the new it was).  I was happy to see it there and did not have to pay more for it

Is there a reason Kotaku seems openly hostile to GamePass?

Eh, not sure I buy into that. For every Last of Us or God of War, you have an Order 1886, Killzone: Shadow Fall, Days Gone, etc. In many cases, exclusives are rushed to market because they’re exclusives and the platform owners need them to promote their platforms. That’s not to say all exclusives are rushed or that

Shredder’s Revenge was a big “Day One” get for them recently.

Won’t someone please feed Ari?

Raji isn’t leaving, it’s being replaced by an enhanced edition

This dearth of first-party releases has led some Game Pass subscribers to publicly point out how the service isn’t fully living up to its promise.

You live, you learn.
