Are you talking about PVE or PVP? Because DLC certainly gives a competitive advantage in PVE when you cannot get close to maxing your character level without it. It also makes it pretty tough to stay competitive when weekly and nightly strikes are disabled for the vanilla game. And while character level doesn’t affect

Just for what actually occurred I think. It’s weird though, a lot of people were burned by it but there is such an outpouring of hatred when someone is critical of Destiny on here. I haven’t seen it before, it’s like there’s a taskforce of commenters shitting on anyone giving Destiny a hard time. I dunno... just

They spent 500 million on the game. More than half went to marketing. It was delivered incomplete, and now day 1 buy in means you’ve spent $140+ to be up to date with a game that is still lacking features promised in the earliest marketing information. If that doesn’t scratch some surface, maybe you know a lot more

How so? I don’t know the politics at play behind the scenes. I think personally that Bungie and Activision share the blame for Destiny, but really it’s the consumers that are allowing this to happen.

So... you want games to ship incomplete and have to continue to buy up to have them closer to the initial promised delivery? Or you just think this is incremental so it doesn’t matter? I mean... do we agree at least that it’s an evil and flawed business plan that hurts consumers?

How does that make it any better? Is it unreasonable to want a AAA shipped game to include the content that was promised in its promotion? Are you advocating game companies that ship an incomplete game and then make you pay more to have them fix/complete it? I just don’t understand that perspective.

They were sold with that model. Destiny is a AAA console game. A AAA console game that was shipped without a storyline, characters, or plot development of any kind. A subscription service is different than a forced DLC that disables content even further if you don’t pay for it.

How can you compare Steam Early Access which has clear intended purpose and a AAA game with a $500 million dollar budget? I think a $60 game with a half a billion dollar budget shouldn’t require another $100 buy in for more guns levels, but still no story or character development. They know they fucked up and have

I won’t pay it. But because of people like you I will probably have to pay it in the future... because half-developed games are now part of the business model.

In 20 years when all games cost $300+, including a $90 day1 DLC, in 11 DLCs and 14 season passes before they are playable... I hope at least someone else remembers that Destiny was largely to blame. I know people love this game, and that’s great. But what it is doing for game consumers is ACTUALLY ruining the

Goddamn. So true.

100% this. I purchased Destiny at launch and received Battlefront as a gift at launch. These games we such incredible commercial successes, but critical failures. What I can’t understand is how the community continues to write a blank check for additional season passes, and DLC, and microtransactions, after the

Ah gotcha.

You haven’t paid for any of the expansions or DLC? Then you haven’t played any of the content this post is about?

By latest patch, I think you mean the extra $140 you had to pay on top of the original game. That’s what made it playable... the fact that you guys keep pumping in another quarter to what still amounts to a beta.

Forgive my ignorance. Why would a low altitude nuclear drop even be considered? For accuracy? I think when the blast is several miles wide, being a few feet off the mark seems less important considering it clearly would kill the pilots if they tried this.

Where can I buy this?

Where can I buy this?

I think it’s a comment about the product picture showing a collar instead of a harness and really making this seem even more unsafe than it needs to be. Seat belt + Collar= broken neck in an accident. It shouldn’t really be an option. Spend $6 on a belt? Spend $10 more on a harness to go with it or potentially kill

Looks like a pretty legit deal. Someone HMU when it comes back in!
