The way I see it is that hijabs are kind of misogynistic, but so are many, many aspects of U.S. culture. I think young girls being sexualized and feeling pressure to dress slutty in the U.S. is pretty misogynistic, but I still want young girls to be free to dress slutty if they want.

I personally put the hijab in the same category as Sikh men wearing turbans or any religion that mandates men have beards.
