I use a stir crazy popcorn popper and use the three kernal test method.  I didn’t initially, but I started having a lot of unpopped kernals.  I thought the stir crazy was dying but found this method online and don’t have that issue anymore.  Maybe since it’s so old it doesn’t get as hot as quickly so needs to heat up…
