I also sympathize but agree that it was naive. She could see what the press/tabloids do to big stars and expect she would get some of that. They called Kate “Waity Katie” for years because of their on again off again relationship. That’s pretty personal, especially considering how young they were.

If they don’t actually leak or plant these stories in the press, they take advantage of them for cover. It takes the focus off of them and the dirty that Will gets up to. Note you don’t hear much about his rumored affair anymore.

It’s amazing that they would rather call this guy a genius killer than recognize that law enforcement messed up time and time again. The term “less dead” is sometimes used because law enforcement doesn’t view crime against women of color, sex workers, drug addicts, as important as other crimes.

That’s what makes it egregious! He now has a record, which could impact future employment regardless of the reason. It also could have cost him his current job for missing that much time off of work. The judge could have held him in contempt of court for a day without giving him a record.
