The ending was polarizing, but to be honest, LOST writers ended the show after six seasons like they said they would. Once I divorced myself from the unsolved mysteries and embraced the idea that the final season is about the characters getting closure, the ending was a thousand times more satisfying.
That was actually the end of the third season of Fringe, and it would have been a mortally depressing ending for a show that wasn't depressing.
Nah it lasted a whole season and was SUPER good! I can't imagine it going on any longer, it would have lost the magic I think. All on Netflix now, btw

Totally agree. That's a really good way to interpret "going too far" as well — I do think the style in that film was ultra-extreme.
