I don't think it's about whether or not we, the consumers, are ready for streaming. The Netflix streaming selection is pretty miserable, unless you want to watch old episodes of Monty Python and Stargate (which I do). I'll probably drop the streaming option now, considering I can get all those on DVD anyway.
