It’s a shame schools don’t teach this in the “safe spaces”.

LOLZ - a lot. So true, those dumbasses have the weirdest concepts.

I shopped both several years ago, and they’re still pretty much the same now - Frontier is just more bland on the interior is all I found. Also, Frontier doesn’t seem to have Toyota’s engineering flaws like drive line vibration and front needle bearing vibration. oh and FWIW, I have an F150.

IMO, It’s based on hope. Hope of good engine choices, interior, and maybe a manual trans.

Is there a US requirement? I didn’t mean to come across on USA only, just not Chinese by any means. I mean I try for US also (anything new I get is an F150 every couple years, and I was pissed when they sourced steering racks from China). Man I’d go Jaguar XF or XFR (owned by Tata) if I had to pick - and would only

If this prevents “Japanese stinky hot cat” on Toyota’s going uphill where I live, then I’m all for it.

Jeff! Happy Freedom to you! So get a brand new F150 crew cab 4x4, you and your dog will love it! We do. It’s all about reducing your concerns - warranty, space, comfort, endless possibilities, and “way more room for activities.” (Step Brothers movie quote)

Booooo on Volvo! Chinese win again when you buy one. They own Volvo in case you guys didn’t know. Shame on you.

Ha! Same! I chose to just drive F150 XLT’s on lease years ago. And now I always get the 3.5 Eco because it has an emergency brake, unlike the 2.7 which has “electronic parking brake” aka a computer that applies the ABS pump...not a secondary brake shoe system with mechanical cable and lever.

And the cost of diagnosing and repairing / replacing these ridiculous ancillary nanny gadgets is not purchase inspiring.

I’m shocked Doug wrote this: “Either way, no automaker in the last 20 years that has debuted a two-door SUV has seen it last more than a few model years before it eventually went away.”

+1. I’ll also add solid sellers produced for >5 years:

Wait, the Chinese are adopting riding bikes again?

hmmmm, good call, I interpreted the question wrong. I was answering why are they still using that engine and not a new one - instead of answering the actual “power of that engine question.”

why does the tacoma still have a 278/265 hp/lbs-ft with basically the same engine?

+ Camry dent.

If you believe apparel is an expression of you, then good rule is: If you’re not in it, don’t rep it.

Fantastic, all my life my buddies and I have described Italian cars as you just did (we mostly said hookers with herpes). Hot and exciting - until something flares up.

Thank you for sharing this!!! I had no idea about this event, and I live locally.
