Ruined sweaters.

No, their very presence was harassment.

This is the argument of a mental toddler. By this logic, she should just stay quiet and try to “rise above it,” or some other bullshit.

That’s exactly NOT how the First Amendment works. If an employer is allowed to use religious preferences in the workplace, then that’s establishing a religion. If the employer decides to only hire people of the same religion, it’s discrimination. If the employer gets to choose what is covered in their insurance plan,

I read a recap earlier today that categorized him perfectly. Nick Blaine: Third-party voter.

Nothing I’ve written here is a ‘rant’. If you’re interpreting anger or distress in my comments, perhaps consider why you’d assume that.

Thank God someone finally had the courage to take a stand and say “#notallmen!” in a shrill voice.

Does quoting dictionaries win you many arguments?

I’m not disagreeing with you at all btw, on one level. However there is a another level at which this is impossible to escape. We learn from tradition. If we did not, we would just be like all the other monkeys we are related to on our evolutionary tree. You don’t realize your culture because it is invisible to you.

The reason communism requires a totalitarian government in the first place is because people cannot be trusted to distribute resources evenly and/or fairly (with the interest of the group over the individual).

Honestly, the older I get the less I think we should even be paying attention to ‘culture’ unless we’re doing it in a very personal, positive way.

I bet you think lots of things and people are sacred, just none of it religion.

Naw. Our emphasis on the importance of economic success is, though. Can’t ever forget about the prosperity gospel.

I personally don’t buy-in with cultural relativism in the broad sense, but I also doubt most people coming to America are immigrating for our Great American Culture.

That’s not true though. If it were, then relatively homogenous or geographically isolated cultures would never have evolved, and they obviously did, and do.

It’s a bad thing when the people making the value judgment(s) of the ideas/things to appropriate have no context, and just take whatever strikes their fancy and decry the rest ‘bad’ or ‘weird’ to the detriment of those people actually of a different culture.

Just so you know the way you look at it is factually incorrect. They work for the teams.
