Yes- I came to say the same thing... not sure how to best articulate it, but I don't think "tell the lady moderator to shut the hell up" is what's happening here. It was a clarification of an already agreed upon arrangement. This is a debate to determine the leader of the free world, not the Homecoming Court, so the

My dog considers birds to be the coolest, like Snoopy and Woodstock. He has let a pigeon basically land on his back, and gently nudged the random, stray rooster we found on our walk.

I would bet that if she's actually Native American and co-opting the language, she would be aware enough to know why the Tiger Woods skit was not "super-classy and not racist."

Possibly wishful thinking, but I'm hoping (omg, really, really hoping) that the kids had to submit the concept of their skit, but not an actual script or anything. So some overworked faculty member probably just saw "Kid 1, Kid 2 and Kid 3 will parody Chris Brown and Rihanna" and thought the kids were doing a music

You light up my life, you know that?

Hold up- I came here to say that Tim Horton's conservative political contributions ruined Tim Horton's, but decided to do a quick google before I did just to make sure. And... I can't find anything about it.

Hey, Soledad- first of all, thank you for being amazing. You are forthright, fair, and always demand your guests rise to your level of honesty and accountability. Your work makes us all better.

Rick Santorum loves fetuses. Rick Santorum eats things he loves. Therefore... AHHHHHHHHHHHH!

OMG- thank you! I have spend to much of my life trying to get people to see past my breasts (it doesn't help that they enter the room before me, so before I even get the chance, they've already made introductions and possibly plans for brunch). It's effected my education and career in very tangible ways. Now, I'm

Thank you!

Thank you.

Thank you- I was afraid I would be berated by apologists so it means a lot to know the internet has some good people, too!

*Let's get the disclaimer out of the way- our system needs an overhaul, it's terrible that people who do minor things get labeled a sex offender, etc. In my comment below, I'm not talking about them. I'm specifically talking about people who abused another human being.

Arhg! Yes! All of this! They're fighting FOR women, because the women can't be trusted to fight for themselves. We'll just go on making the wrong decisions. They're actually our saviors!

Like others have pointed out, if you are a racist, your version of an "honest" discussion of race in this country isn't going to be honest, it's going to be racist. Where I come from, there is a gaggle of people I no longer associate with- well educated, upper class white people- who are awfully fond of the phrase

Interesting- thanks! My career was tangentially connected to the theatre community in a medium sized city. There is a lot of cross over between the theatre actors and VO actors there, and this particular election was really heated- one candidate was openly anti-gay and had made some really disgusting public

Sigh- lots and lots of ways. There are a lot of ways to document something that don't involve making an arrest.

Ha! Those truly suck. Like, so hard you can only laugh. I often have to cross Times Square and depending on the time and day, it can be pure hell- though you win with Columbus Circle.

Being a "repeat offender" is different than "recidivism" though... Recidivism rates show how often a person has been caught, tried and sentenced, not how often a person commits a crime. While sex offenders might have lower recidivism rates (don't know, too busy to google but I believe you) they have a well documented

Perhaps, perhaps!
